Dredgers

The “Fabio Duò” Hopper Dredger takes its name from the prematurely deceased partner of the Cantiere Navale Vittoria SpA. This ship is endowed with openable bottom through four hydraulic pistons and possesses a crane revolving Liebherr HS 895 HDavente an ability to 200 tons. Thanks to the Liebherr HS 895 HD crane installed, the “Fabio Duò” can carry out the excavation of seas, lakes, lagoons and rivers and the relative material. Mounted in a version without undercarriage, the Liebherr HS 895 HD is fixed directly to the hull becoming one with the structure of the ship. The sturdy arm and a structure designed to operate in the most demanding conditions allow the crane to operate with large hydraulic or mechanical excavators and dredging equipment (buckets / pliers), ensuring exceptional production.

This powerful lifting machine has a payload of 300 tons, an arm of 41 meters in length, a bucket of 10 cubic meters in capacity and a 30 cubic meters hydraulic clamshell bucket. The crane is used to collect sand, clay, silt, gravel and small rocks from the sea floor, lifting them and placing the material inside the cargo area. The latter is equipped on the bottom with opening doors to unload the material where necessary, for example, building new lands, expanding and strengthening existing ones or replacing the sand eroded by the action of storms or waves on the seashore to restore the original shape. The ship is moreover predisposed for the installation of various technologies of dredging, like the system with aspiration pipes.

Tugs

The tug in question is studied in order to carry out to the best activities and technical services of towing, thrust and escort in the ports or in open sea, to guide third parties towards the maneuvers of moorings and for the recovery of the ships in eventual breakdown. The machine can reach a shooting power at the fixed point of 65 t and is also designed to operate in extreme conditions and navigate in the presence of ice up to 50 cm thick. The unit has in fact a notation of class ICE2, which certifies its ability to perform its tasks even in icy waters not arctic. A test model, with added ice, has been studied at the Krilov Research Center in Saint Petersburg, in order to perfectly calibrate the hydrodynamics of the boat in any potential conditions of activity.
